August 11th Frost!

There was frost on the rooftops this morning! Our roses weren't happy. My sunflowers have just grown taller than I am, and I hope they head out before the frost does them in. I guess that's what happens when you live close to the mountains.

Snipes

We spent some time at the marsh tonight, and a snipe circled us constantly, calling for us to leave the premises!

We hated to disturb it, but it was so enjoyable getting a close view of it.
